Q. What do you think of Saturdays result?
A. After the events of last week Saturday’s result this was without doubt the seasons best result s far.

Q. Who do you think will be the next manager of Burnley?
A. I would like to see Steve Davis given a chance in the hot seat

Q. Do you think he’s ready for a top job like that?
A. Obviously I understand that he has only just begun his managerial career but everybody has to start somewhere, and in my view he has all the credentials to become manager. There are managers out there that have the management experience, who are totally useless, but there are some people who are naturals and I think with help from the club and the patience of the fans Steve could move the club forward where it belongs.

Q Who do you think they will bring in if Steve isn’t given the job?
A. Micky Phelan, who is Alex Ferguson’s assistant at Man Utd, who is a local lad, who has Burnley at heart and is vastly experienced, Remember you can take the lad out of Burnley but you will never take Burnley out of the lad.
One point I want to make is that who ever they get will mainly becoming for the money as well as trying to take the club up, If Steve was given a chance, he in my opinion would be wholly committed to proving himself, and will eat sleep and drink the role.

Q. What about these rumours about you applying for assistant managers job if Steve becomes manager
A. Obviously I would like nothing better than to be given a chance to pass on 25 years of experience to the club I love. I would love to speak to the directors about any opportunities with the club, especially now being a family man and role model to the future footballers. I want to take another look at my future and develop my career of the pitch hopefully with Burnley but you never know.
